Support for Graduate Students

Our generous donors have provided CSW|Streisand Center with the means to offer graduate students an array of award, grant, and fellowship opportunities. In addition, CSW|Streisand Center employs graduate student researchers, who gain valuable experience in conference coordination, academic research, website and blog development, and other professionalization experience.

Fellowships and Grants

  • Scholars-in-Residence Fellowship: Graduate students are invited to apply for one of two fellowships to support participation in the CSW|Streisand Center Scholars-in-Residence (SIR) program. This program convenes a group of UCLA faculty and graduate students to meet and collaborate intensively for one quarter on a specific topic. This year’s SIR program will meet in person during spring quarter of 2024 around the topic of catastrophe.

  • The Constance Coiner Graduate Fellowship honors a UCLA doctoral student engaged in research focusing on feminist and working-class issues and demonstrates excellence in teaching and a commitment to teaching as activism.
