The UCLA Center for the Study of Women (CSW)/Streisand Center is accepting applications for a Outreach and Marketing Manager. This is a FULL-TIME, CONTRACT position.

The Outreach and Marketing Manager has primary responsibility for planning, strategizing, developing, evaluating, implementing, and managing the outreach, marketing, and branding for the UCLA Center for the Study of Women (CSW)/Streisand Center.

This position oversees and manages the Center’s multi-channel outreach, advertising and media for research initiatives (i.e. marketing of publications, policy briefs, and annual reports), events, programming, and educational content; strategizes and manages the Center’s short and long-term marketing goals, including creating and overseeing comprehensive marketing projects and campaigns to increase “brand” awareness, and strategizes and manages the CSW/Streisand Center brand identity, brand alignment with mission, and brand consistency in all visual representations of the center. This position will also be responsible for developing and managing relationships with UCLA media personnel and other community media influencers related to the Center’s mission, as well as overseeing all of the Center’s digital content including website, videos/photography, and social media strategy, analysis, implementation, and managing the social communications team of undergraduate workers.

Responsibilities

Outreach, Marketing, and Branding Strategy and Management, including but not limited to:

  • Applies advanced marketing concepts to strategize, develop, evaluate, implement, and manage the Center’s multi-channel outreach, advertising and media for research initiatives (i.e. overseeing the marketing of publications, policy briefs, and annual reports), events, programming, and educational content.
  • Analyze, strategize, and implement the Center’s short and long-term marketing goals. This includes creating and overseeing comprehensive marketing projects and campaigns to increase “brand” awareness, independently solving marketing/promotional challenges/barriers, and evaluating and implementing techniques to reach the Center’s goals.
  • Manage CSW/Streisand Center brand identity, brand alignment with mission, and brand consistency in all visual representations of the center. This includes establishing branding guidelines for all media and outreach elements.
  • Develop contacts and manage relationships with UCLA media personnel and other community media influencers related to CSW/Streisand Center’s mission statement.

Digital Content Strategy and Management, including but not limited to:

  • Strategize, develop, implement, and manage the Center’s social media, social media analytics, and Weekly Newsletter, including overseeing the social communications team of undergraduate student workers.
  • Oversee CSW/Streisand Center’s digital outreach media content including website design and website management, development of films and videos highlighting CSW/Streisand Center research and educational content, and videos and photos for CSW/Streisand Center’s events and programs.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation (photographs, files, spreadsheets, etc.) for all work for historical, ongoing, and shared use.
  • Assess the center’s technology needs, design and implement technology policies, and manage technology equipment, such as photo camera, video camera, sound equipment, recording equipment, etc.

Administration, including but not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to CSW faculty and staff for special projects as needed.
  • Attend relevant trainings and courses in order to enhance or perform duties of job as needed.
