To build and maintain intellectual community across the disciplines on campus, CSW has worked closely with faculty to develop and support working groups, workshops, and opportunities for collaboration. CSW’s fostering of research on gender, sexuality, and women’s issues embraces our research projects as well as providing funding and other support for faculty and student research.
Current CSW Research Projects
In addition, each year, CSW organizes and hosts a major student research conference. Called Thinking Gender, this event provides students with a place to gain skills in sharing and discussing their research with senior faculty and peers.
The Faculty Research Grants Program is open to all faculty for research development, new project development that may lead to external funding opportunities through CSW, or project completion that could be considered for CSW publications (policy briefs, research reports). Preference will be given to junior faculty and projects that link to CSW’s current research projects (that is, Feminism and the Senses, Food | Water | Shelter, and Chemical Entanglements).
