Copper Wires: Solidarity and Intimacy (for Audre Lorde) by Alexis Pauline Gumbs
Based on Alexis Pauline Gumbs’s research for her forthcoming biography The Eternal Life of Audre Lorde, this interactive lecture will share details from Audre Lorde’s early morning practices of planetary solidarity followed by an interactive oracle based on one of Audre Lorde’s most provocative poems.
Alexis Pauline Gumbs is a Queer Black Troublemaker and Black Feminist Love Evangelist and an aspirational cousin to all sentient beings. Her work in this lifetime is to facilitate infinite, unstoppable ancestral love in practice. Alexis’s most recent book Undrowned: Black Feminist Lessons from Marine Mammals won the 2022 Whiting Award in Nonfiction.
