The conference features progressive scholarship designed to investigate the social justice potential of various critical concepts. There are a number of panels on feminist theory and its relation to questions of decolonial theory, environmental theory, racism in contemporary America, and emancipatory politics. By drawing connections between these topics, the conference hopes to contribute to ongoing conversations about the relationship between the politics of gender and other social movements.
