Application for Faculty Manuscript Development Grants

The Center for the Study of Women|Barbra Streisand Center invites applications from UCLA assistant professors and early career non-senate faculty for funding to support manuscript workshops and manuscript development (including, but not limited to, manuscript development consultation, proof reading, indexing). We welcome all research areas, particularly research with explicit connection to the study of feminism, gender, sexuality, and/or women. Grant must be used by June 30, 2026.

CRITERIA

  • Applicants must be UCLA assistant professors (tenure-track, senate faculty) or early career non-senate faculty (under 10 years of experience) with an active UCLA appointment during AY25-26. All others may inquire about eligibility (email rosa@women.ucla.edu).
  • Recipients of the grant must agree to the following:
    1. Use the funds by June 30, 2026
    2. Acknowledge CSW|Streisand Center, Division of Social Sciences, Division of Humanities, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activities, School of Music, School of Arts and Architecture, and School of Theater, Film, and Television in any marketing materials
    3. Submit a brief (1 – 2 paragraphs) report detailing manuscript workshop/manuscript progress outcome
