Where: EDA (Experimental Digital Arts) Room 1250, Broad Art Center at UCLA
Hosted by the Consortium for Palestine Studies at UCLA and the Design Media Arts Department at UCLA, the exhibit, “The Phoenix of Gaza”, is a virtual reality project documenting life in Gaza through 360-degree filming completed over several years. The project began with the goal of showing the beauty and resilience of Palestinians living under occupation and siege & presenting Gaza outside the realm of death and destruction, only to become redefined by the genocidal war which began in 2023.
This event features talks by Fady Joudah, author of Exhibit G, Professor Ahlam Muhtaseb, and Professor Naim Aburaddi, a reception, and the exhibit.
