The C2i2 2024 Spring Symposium will delve into the critical issues surrounding the internet’s evolution over the past two decades, its implications on society, and the challenges we face in ensuring equity, autonomy, and social justice in the digital age.

Keynote Speaker:

Dr. Kate Starbird, Associate Professor in Human Centered Design & Engineering, Director of the Emerging Capacities of Mass Participation (emCOMP) Laboratory, Co-Founder of the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public.

About the Organizer:

The Center for Critical Internet Inquiry (C2i2) is a critical internet studies community committed to reimagining technology, championing social justice, and strengthening human rights through research, culture, and public policy. C2i2 initiatives include the Minderoo Initiative on Technology and Power, the Critical Internet Studies Program, Digital Civil Rights, and the Data, Power, and Racial Justice Initiative.
