On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the UCLA Center for the Study of Women|Streisand Center gathered our community to honor the 2025–2026 award recipients in our center! Surrounded by friends, fellow students, and faculty, we came together to celebrate the future of innovative and transformative feminist research. In the form of a happy hour, this celebration recognized recipients work with insightful conversations, small bites, and custom CSW|Streisand bookmarks! This year’s cohort of honorees represents the Center’s mission to tackle today’s most pressing issues through an intersectional feminist lens. Because our recipients’ projects spanned a diverse array of topics, we were able to highlight important contributions to Black feminist theory, community-driven healing, reproductive justice, and systemic analyses of sexuality and power. We are so grateful to our donors, awards committees, and community members for their generous support which brought this celebration to life. We proudly recognized the recipients of the Constance Coiner Awards, Elizabeth Blackwell, MD Awards, Renaissance Awards, and the Penny Kanner, Jean Stone, Paula Stone Legal Research Fellowships, as well as Travel Grants supporting feminist inquiry across borders and disciplines.
